A 52-year-old British man was detained on Monday in connection with growing cannabis at his home in Dherynia, police said.
The nine plants, whose height was between 57 and 127 cm, were being grown in a greenhouse, in a specially designed area in the yard of his house.
Police arrested the man and a 48-year-old woman who also lived in the house.
She was later released.
The suspect was expected to appear before a court on Tuesday.
