A 37-year-old man was arrested after officers from Dunmurry Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a “proactive” search operation at a property in the Colin Mill area on Thursday afternoon.
The man is being questioned on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply, possession of an offensive weapon and the cultivation of cannabis.
He is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Dunmurry Neighbourhood Inspector Peter Brannigan said: “Police continue to tackle the issue of drugs across Northern Ireland, and today’s seizure and arrest highlights the proactive approach of officers in Dunmurry to make the area a safe place to live for the local community.
“We continue to appeal to members of the public to report any unusual behaviour in their area, in relation to the supply and distribution of drugs.”
