Marijuana suspects waive hearings




  • Five Florida men accused of growing marijuana in a rented house near Tecumseh waived preliminary examinations Monday in Lenawee County District Court. The men, aged 23 to 62, were arrested several weeks ago when police executed a search warrant and reported seizing an already harvested marijuana crop of 30 to 40 pounds.




    The men were bound over to circuit court, where they are to be arraigned April 23. They remain in jail after failing to post bonds continued at $150,000 each.




    Each man faces a felony charge of manufacturing marijuana. The defendants are Miguel O. Pichs, 54, Miguel Fernando Hernan­dez Delgado, 41, Jesus Miguel Perez, 48, Jesus Joan Perez Arias, 23, and Hector Emilio Cordoves, 62, all of Miami.
