Riverside County Sheriff’s officials located a concentrated marijuana lab at a residence where a trailer caught fire and burned two people Thursday, April 10, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.
Deputies arrived after a loud explosion was reported about 11 p.m. in the 600 block of South Estudillo Avenue in San Jacinto. When firefighters arrived on scene, there was a travel trailer fully involved with fire, according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department news release. The fire was contained at 11:17 p.m.
Shortly after arriving, deputies said they found a 28-year-old Hispanic male outside of the residence and a 29-year-old Hispanic male not far from the residence.
Fire officials said the suspects sustained burn injuries to 20-30 percent of their bodies and second degree burns to extremities. Both were transported to hospitals but are in stable condition, sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies found the lab after firefighters extinguished the flames and said the residence was safe to enter.
