No evidence of this. A patent does not affect exclusivity periods, which is where the real money is made. This is a common misunderstanding of drug development.

I’ve always seen the argument as placing blame on a few individuals rather than an entire industry. If you compare it to a government it’s rarely an entire system as much as the individuals controlling it.
But yeah.. I remember reading some stuff on how pharmaceutical companies travel the world looking for traditional medicines to synthesize. One instance in particular, which the details seem to be eluding me, they basically stole all of their shit and replaced these tribe’s medicines with pharmaceuticals and started raping the land immediately.

That probably does happen, but it’s not really related to the cannabis cancer cure conundrum. Cannabis is grown all over the world, sometimes on an industrial scale. If, legality aside, a pharmaceutical company found that something in cannabis could be used as an effective cancer treatment that could replace the conventional ones, they would start growing, extracting and manufacturing right away and make bank.

Rick Simpson had something like a 94% efficiency rating with topical application on skin cancers. I’m not entirely certain exact numbers on other types but it was promising. The US government stepped in and told him he wasn’t a doctor and to stop treating people.
My question is why? If he’s helping people beat cancer and save lives why would anybody stop him?
There is more than one example of people dying because they couldn’t get their medicine in states like California where certain cities can’t make up their mind as to whether or not they’ll follow the will of the people. I don’t see how it could be seen as anything but a conspiracy of asshats profiteering of the suffering of millions and disguising it as a ploy to ‘save our moral fibre and our children’. It’s fucking poppycock, people that stand in the way of legalization should be put in prison.
They can stop federal research at the moment, but science is on the side of Cannabis.

Sure there’s no federal research done to back it up because the DOJ won’t give researchers cannabis to actually use in the research. So any work done would have to be done with “illegal” cannabis. It’s bullcrap, and if you buy into it you might as well start bleating with the rest of the sheeple.
