1 arrested with 22 kg hemp
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an alleged drug peddler in possession of 22 kilograms of hemp at Ashulia at Savar in the outskirts of the city on Wednesday night. The arrestee was identified as Jahidul Islam, 33. Police sources said on secret information, a team of Rab-4 conducted a drive in the house of one Meherun at Bhadail village at Ashulia and arrested Jahidul. Sensing the presence of the elite force, Jahidul’s associates managed to flee the scene, added the sources. The Rab team also recovered 22 kilograms of hemp from the house, according to UNB.
