Hydroponic cannabis plants seized during police raids

More than $200,000 worth of hydroponic cannabis plants were seized during raids conducted on properties in Salisbury, Bundamba and Laidley Heights.


THREE people have been charged and more than $200,000 worth of hydroponic cannabis plants seized during raids conducted on properties in Salisbury, Bundamba and Laidley Heights.


Yesterday afternoon police executed a search warrant at a Laidley Heights address. Police located “grow tents” within a shed at the address containing 34 cannabis plants and chemicals used in the production of cannabis.


A search warrant was also executed at an address in Bundamba. Investigators located two grow tents within the house containing eight cannabis plants. Dried cannabis and utensils were also located.


A third search warrant was executed at a Salisbury address. Two cannabis plants and a quantity of dried cannabis was also located at the address.


Three men, aged 39, 38 and 47 were each issued a Notice to Appear on charges of produce dangerous drug, possess dangerous drug, possess things used in the commission of a crime and possess utensil.


All three will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 5.
