ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. (KSDK) – An extensive drug investigation including surveillance operation lead to the arrest of a Mascoutah, Ill. man, according to St. Clair county Sheriff’s department.


Scott Hassebrock faces charges of unlawful cannabis trafficking and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to distribute, according to the department.


The drug tactical unit did a stakeout of Hassebrock’s home in the 50 block of West Oak in Mascoutah for weeks, according to the sheriff’s department. He was later arrested in Witt, Ill. for delivering a quarter pound of Cannabis in the area.


After obtaining a search warrant for his home, investigators found and seized five pounds of suspected cannabis.


Hassebrock has also been charged with unlawful delivery of Cannabis in Montgomery County, which is where Witt, Ill. is located.


He is in custody in Montgomery County Jail on $100,000 bond.
