Here’s an update for you from the ‘Abenah González Brand Jamaica Bamboo Hemp Fashion’ team:
CAMPAIGN TRUSTEES
All funds raised by my campaign will go directly into a US$ Bank Account managed by my Trustees. That means that payments to CSM, commencing on Thursday, September 4 with the deposit of £2,000 will be handled them. The next payment for the balance of my tuition fees and my accommodation will be due by September 29. My Trustees will take care of transfers to me for my living expenses. I am so grateful to have this wonderful, multi-talented and experienced team supporting my campaign!
Valerie Patricia Veira, CEO of the Jamaica Business Development Corporation , is an accomplished negotiator, strategist and business leader with over 30 years of professional experience in the industrial, manufacturing and productive sectors. A trained communicator and lecturer, Veira is a proud graduate of the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona and the distinguished Harvard University, where she obtained her Bachelor and Master Degrees respectively. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Mason Fellowship Scholarship and Women in Leadership award, which she acquired for her outstanding contributions in leadership during her studies in Public Administration at Harvard University.
Claudette Lopez-Lewis, a graduate in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York is a textile artist, fashion and costume designer with over 30 years of international experience. Under her Libellule label she produces a line of hand-painted textiles, custom clothing and accessories. Her training in London (Central Saint Martins) and New York, combined with her multi-ethnic heritage, has created a unique aesthetic gaining her international recognition for her eclectic style.
Marie Elizabeth Casserly is a business and project development professional, specializing in branding, product development and marketing. A graduate of the University of the West Indies (UWI) and the Jamaican Institute of Management, her career which spans nearly 30 years has focused on the coaching of entrepreneurs and the growth and development of enterprises. She worked in the Jamaican private sector for about a decade includes close to 3 years as GM of the American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica. In her capacity as a Project Development consultant in the Office of the CEO at JBDC, her current emphasis is on supporting the revitalization of the Jamaican fashion industry and expanding its reach globally. She is my mentor and a Team Member and co-author of my campaign.
