Joint police investigation yields single drug arrest




  • A joint drug investigation between Macomb and McDonough County law enforcement led to a raid on a residence in the 600 block of West Adams Street early Friday morning. According to a news release from the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office, police executed a search warrant during the early morning hours and arrested Connor H. Keegan, 20, who lives at the residence, where detectives seized about 50 grams of marijuana and a small amount of cocaine.




    Drugs had been purchased from the residence on prior occasions in an undercover operation conducted by the Macomb Police Department and the sheriff’s office.




    Keegan was lodged in McDonough County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance for cocaine, possession of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis, two counts of manufacture/delivery of 10 to 30 grams of cannabis and a second charge of possession of a controlled substance for liquid codeine.
