Marijuana Business Academy expanding efforts to Denver

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL – Marijuana Business Academy will launch its educational seminars in Denver next month, drawing “ganja-preneurs” from the metro area who want to learn more about the business side of Colorado’s legal pot business.

The academy was founded in Colorado Springs by KC Stark, and works to educate entrepreneurs who are considering or who are already in the marijuana industry of the challenges and issues associated with the highly regulated, much-stigmatized pot sector.

Marijuana Business Academy will kick off its presence in Denver on Aug. 16, with a seminar held at Green Labs, a co-working space that caters to cannabis, located at 1250 31st St.

“We have seminars for people who want to enter this industry, so they can understand markets, risk, reward and regulations,” Stark said.

A wide range of people attend the classes, Stark said, and people from other industries seeking to do business with pot companies can also be found there. Venture capitalists, real estate brokers and attorneys have all visited the academy’s workshops and mixers, he said.
