UB Study: Marijuana use linked to less violence

Buffalo, N.Y.- A new study out of the University of Buffalo found that marijuana use may be linked to less domestic violence.

The study looked at 634 different couples and found that couples where both people smoke marijuana two or more times a month engaged in less physical violence.

The findings are based on patterns of violence in an overall year, not just on any given day where marijuana use was involved.

Researchers at UB say it appears that marijuana may decrease aggressive urges or conflict, but say they would need to conduct further studies.
