Retail hemp business workshop in OwensboroMarijuana will be the topic of discussion at a workshop in Owensboro on Saturday.
The plant is illegal in the state of Kentucky, but under federally law people can still legally set up retail hemp businesses.
ComfyTree Cannabis Academy, a traveling seminar geared towards raising awareness and providing education about the cannabis industry, will be held at the Owensboro Convention center on Saturday, August 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Experts will talk about the local and federal laws in Kentucky, benefits of medicinal marijuana, how to set up a dispensary, production of cannabis and more.
Comfytree also teaches traditional topics like marketing, advertising, finance and activism, as it relates to the highly specialized cannabis industry.
Vendors will also be selling some of the legal hemp oil products at the workshop.
