A 25-YEAR-OLD South Grafton man who thought he could get away with drink driving in a go kart has received a reality check.
At 1.15am on Friday morning, police stopped the man on Maxwell Dr and charged him with driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle on the road and driving without a licence. He also blew an alcohol reading of 0.167.
CANNABIS was found hidden in a baby formula tin when police searched the car of a 22-year-old man during an RBT.
At 10.15pm on Saturday, police intercepted the vehicle which was also found to have defects. The man will appear in Grafton Local Court.
A DRUNK driver lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree on Roberts Dr, South Grafton at 3.25am on Anzac Day.
The 22-year-old South Grafton man recorded an alcohol reading of 0.153 and was charged with high-range drink driving and driving without a licence.
A CLARENZA woman was caught with cannabis in her car when she was stopped for an RBT on the Pacific Hwy at South Grafton. At 7.30pm Friday night, the 40-year-old woman had her car searched and a small amount of cannabis was found. She was given a warning as she had no prior dealings with police in regards to drug possession.
A CAR being driven by a female motorist collided with another vehicle after failing to give way at the Vere St and Rushforth Rd intersection at South Grafton on Friday.
No injuries were reported and the 37-year-old female was issued a notice for failing to give way.
