W.E. Bozeman, Mitchell County SheriffA warrant is out for the arrest of Michelle Kearns and Zephine Akridge in relation to a marijuana discovery Wednesday.
Mitchell County Sheriff’s officials say Georgia Task force authorities flew over Mitchell County by helicopter Wednesday and spotted marijuana on some land on Microwave Road. They say one of the suspects tried to get rid of it with a lawnmower when they saw the helicopter in the air.
“As the helicopter was hovering over it, the lady got on the lawnmower hit it out to apparently run over it, with the lawnmower,” said Sheriff W.E. Bozeman with the lawnmower.
A warrant is out for the arrest of Michelle Kearns and Zephine Akridge. Kearns is facing a tampering with evidence charge. Akridge will be charged with manufacturing marijuana.
