The New York Times Takes Us Inside the Tweed Cannabis Factory

With marijuana legalization looking more and more like a sure thing across many parts of the world, we’re starting to see growers and cultivators becoming increasingly more sophisticated and complex. Over in Canada, where medical marijuana has been legal for the last decade, the government has taken the cultivation of the plant out of the hands of small-time growers, instead shifting to licensed commercial growers who do so on a much larger scale. The New York Times recently travelled to Smith Falls, Ontario to visit Tweed Marijuana, a company at the forefront of this large-scale production. The video includes interviews with members from the company, residents of the community both for and against it, and a tour of company’s spacious cultivation areas.
