A 29 year old man was fined £100 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for possession of cannabis on October 29 last year.
Rodrigo Manuel Ferreiro Mendes, Derry Street, Lurgan, was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
The court heard that police saw the defendant at Victoria Street Place and he appeared nervous.
They searched him and a cannabis resin was found on him. He said it was for his own personal use.
A defence solicitor said Mendes had recently received a custodial sentence and was due for release at the end of the month.
