CANNABIS plants with an estimated street value of around £235,000 have been seized from a property in central Scotland.
Officers found the cultivation yesterday after swooping on an address in Main Street, Shieldhill, in the Forth Valley area.
A 48-year-old man from West Lothian has been arrested and charged in connection with the find, Police Scotland said.
He is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court.
Police involved in the operation were acting on information they received from a member of the public.
Detective Sergeant John Dreczkowski said: “This was a significant recovery of drugs with a considerable local street value and illustrates the excellent work being done by our pro-active unit.
“It also demonstrates that information passed on to officers by people in the community will be acted upon in order to keep people safe and to keep drugs off our streets.”
