Three people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences by officers from Thornaby. A house was searched in Havelock Street in relation to a theft from a motor vehicle in Stockton. A 33-year-old man was arrested for this offence.
A subsequent search of the house revealed around £20,000 of suspected cannabis and the man was further arrested for possession with intent to supply a class B drug.
Two women aged 57 and 33 years were also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and the three remain in police custody.
“We are aware of the local community’s concerns about criminal activity and drug dealing in the area and I would like to reassure them that they will see a good deal of police activity in the area in response to issues raised.”
“We always welcome information about offences in the area and would encourage residents to come forward if they believe they have information which could help police.”
