3 held in C’nawabganj: Phensidyl, wine recovered
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel in separate drives arrested three people along with Phensidyl syrup, hemp and liquor from different parts of Chapainawabganj district on Thursday. Tipped off, a team of RAB-5 raided the house of one Mohammad Amin at Dhorbona Madhyapara in Shibganj Upazila and arrested his wife Lochon Begum, 40, along with 480 grams of hemp around 6:45 pm, said Commander of RAB-5 Chapainawabganj camp Major Kamruzzaman Pavel. The elite force conducted a drive in the same area and arrested Mohammad Sohel alias Sumon, 24, along with 390 grams of hemp around 10:00am. Besides, the RAB members raided the house of one Khalil at Magur Shohor Dighipukur in Gomostapur Upazila and arrested him along with 195 bottles of Phensidyl and two bottles of foreign-made liquor in the afternoon. Separate cases were filed, according to UNB.
