BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) – Benton County deputies recovered more than 70 pounds of marijuana and arrested two people in a drug bust Tuesday, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at 711 N. 28th St. in Rogers and uncovered an elaborate indoor growing operation, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said they recovered more than 70 pounds of marijuana in various stages of cultivation and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.
David Brown, 36, and Sarai Long, 42, of Rogers, were arrested in connection with the marijuana growing operation and remain in the Benton County Jail awaiting bond hearings, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Their arraignment is set for Dec. 8 at 8 a.m.
The case remains an ongoing investigation.
