Blount marijuana couple extradited from Florida

Blount’s alleged Bonnie-and-Clyde dope growers were back in county custody Saturday after extradition from Sarasota, Fla., where the couple was captured on Oct. 6.

Hershel Bedsole, 35, and Karen Bedsole, 35, both of Airport Highway, were officially arrested by Blount County Sheriff’s Office Saturday afternoon. Hershel Bedsole was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance; paraphernalia; criminal conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance; maintaining a dwelling for sale of a controlled substance; possession of a weapon; and two counts of drug possession with intent to sell.
