CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two Cleveland-area men are accused of having 23 pounds of marijuana shipped to them from Arizona.
Rodney Potts, 39, of Cleveland, and 40-year-old Norman Hunter, of Bedford Heights, are each charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both posted their $25,000 bond through the same bond agency Friday.
The charges came after Cleveland police narcotics officers executed a search warrant at Potts’ Biltmore Avenue home Wednesday and found 11 bricks of marijuana, weighing 23 pounds, and a U.S. Postal Service box postmarked from Goodyear, Arizona to Potts and Norman, according to a Cleveland police report.
Investigators also found two handguns, a shotgun, ammunition, scales, three cell phone, and $515 in the house, according to the report.
Records show Hunter pleaded guilty to drug trafficking in 1993. Potts has no history of felony drug convictions.
The case was sent to a Cuyahoga County grand jury Friday.
