Robin Jenkins, a cancer survivor, says the drug would be especially useful to cancer patients, saying “I too had cancer and pain medication doesn’t always help, so I’m all for Amendment 2. I’ve studied this in Denver, Colorado and it is a good thing”
The amendment goes to a vote in just nine days, and it will be a race to the finish as this hot topic has passionate views both for, and against.
Tequesta Noble, an opponent of Amendment 2, said “well i just voted and I voted no. I work at a university; they can’t wait for amendment 2 to pass so that they can have access to the medication. If they could fill in the loopholes, then maybe that would be better.”
John Morgan is Chairman of United for Care, which is the organization responsible for bringing Amendment 2 to a vote. He says Amendment 2 will bring sick people the care they need.
“There are 23 states in the country have already done it, I’ll bet if I ask your viewers to tell me 10 or even 5 of those states, they couldn’t do it. Know why? The world didn’t end. It worked out perfectly and people got the real help they need,” said Morgan.
Amendment 2 needs 60 percent of votes in order to pass.
