The Pueblo County Planning and Zoning Commission will hear the county’s first application for a social club that will allow the consumption of marijuana inside its doors.
The Sweet Leaf Cannabis Club has made an application for a special-use permit to allow the private social club in a storefront at 420 S. McCulloch Blvd. in Pueblo West.
Cannabis clubs are not allowed to sell marijuana inside their doors, nor will Sweet Leaf give weed away to its customers.
Instead, the club will sell $5 daily memberships. People 21 and older who are interested in purchasing monthly or annual memberships will have those options as well, said Brenden Wright, one of the business partners making the proposal.
