Washington State's Marijuana Shortages

Randy Oliver has a question ‘Where is the entire weed’ due to the shortage of legal marijuana in Washington.

Oliver is the Analytical 360’s chief scientist in Yakima, which is the only laboratory that has been allowed and certified for the testing of excessively taxed Marijuana that will be seen on the shelves of the store in the month of July.

As of now, only two licensed growers have come up with their samples in order to have them tested, with another one that is going to follow them in a mini batch next week, as stated by the Associated Press on Saturday.

He also added that the prices of marijuana would be high and there are certainly going to be long lines, as they are expecting people to jump on these.

The Liquor Control Board of the state has warned about the shortages of the same when the first few stores are open.

Out of 2,600 people who opted to have the licenses for growing marijuana, only 79 received the permission from the legal authority and most of them are not ready to harvest the same.

The project manager of the board named Randy Simmons feels that there might be shortages of the same. She stated this in a current AP interview.

Sea of Green team spent the last weekend packing up around 40 pounds of marijuana that was harvested by the team lately. It has the contract with around four shops to sell the maximum part of it for an amount of around $4,000 a pound.

This makes it to be $9 each gram before the retailers add their own terms to the final price at which the customers would be able to buy it for themselves from the stores. However, the shortages are expected to happen ‘til August.
