Deputies assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station summer violent crime enforcement program conducted what appeared to be a routine traffic stop in Castaic Friday night at 7.
During the course of the traffic stop and subsequent investigation, deputies discovered a significant amount of hash, hash oil, and related narcotic paraphernalia.
Two adult males, both from the Bakersfield area, were arrested for possession of more than 300 envelopes and 100 plastic jars, each containing concentrated cannabis in a form commonly referred to as “honey wax” or “wax.” During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that the shipment of “wax” was allegedly en route to a music festival in San Bernardino County.
Also known as “ear wax,” or simply “wax,” this marijuana concentrate is more powerful. Far more powerful. It allegedly leads to a quicker, stronger high, “wax” is said to be the strongest form of marijuana on the market. “Wax” allegedly has psychoactive properties and is extremely dangerous for people trying to make it at home.
The names of the two male adults placed under arrest are not being released at this time as this investigation is continuing. More information will be released as it becomes available.
