The Department of Health has advised the public that recent analysis of a ‘Hemp Vap device’ revealed that the “liquid in the atomizer tested positive for the presence of the primary ingredient Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol [THC] of the controlled drug Cannabis.
“THC is responsible for the ‘high’ felt after consumption and possession, importation or sales of THC-containing products are in contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1972,” a spokesperson added.
