Four packets containing a total of three grams of cannabis were today found in a sock at Lyster Detention Centre, the National Security Ministry said.
It said in a statement that the sock was thrown in from outside but got stuck to the barbed wire. The soldiers at the centre got suspicious when a Somali man went to collect the sock.
The Somali is currently being investigated at the Zejtun police station. He is expected to be arraigned in the coming days.
