YORK, PA – Some parents here in Pennsylvania are hoping that a new bill aimed at legalizing cannabis oil can help their children.
Rep. Scott Perry’s (R)- York introduced a bill that would allow the use of parts of the marijuana plant to help people who suffer from life-threatening seizures.
Perry believes federal misclassification of cannabis could be keeping families from a practical treatment.
Perry said, “it legalizes a form of hemp that can contain no more than .3 percent THC which means it has no hallucinogenic effects.”
The introduced bill doesn’t legalize all forms of marijuana, such as smoking, for medical use.
