A 35-year-old Bayonne man has been arrested after being caught with 27 bags of marijuana in his pocket, according to Bayonne police.
On Monday at 5:12 p.m., police officers saw Jamil J. Golson of Kennedy Boulevard, whom they said they know from past drug offenses, walking on West 32nd Street, Bayonne Police Lt. Janine Foy said.
They noticed Golson had a large bulge in his pants pocket and smelled marijuana on him, Foy said.
They discovered that the bulge was a large bag, inside of which were 27 smaller bags containing marijuana, she said.
Golson was arrested on the charge of possession of marijuana, and was transported to the Hudson County jail in Kearny on a bail of $15,000 with a 10 percent cash option.
